Coaches Meeting
4:00 - 5:00 pm Wednesday August 13 at Algonquin College (room to
be advised)
Registration
Open August 13, 2008, noon - 3:00 pm at the
main entrance of the Residence Building
Opening BBQ:
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm in the
cafeteria dinning hall.
This is the first meal provided by the Games
Organizing Committee (GOC).
Each participant will receive: one hamburger, one hotdog, chips, drinks, salad,
and fruit.
Meal Times:

Breakfast: 6:30 am - 9:30 am
- Lunch: 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
- Dinner: 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm,
extended hours with a reduced basic menu until 10:00 pm
Meals:

Meal vouchers will be provided in the registration kit.
- Breakfast and Dinner will be in
the cafeteria dinning hall.
- Lunch (if eaten at the campus)
are bagged lunches consisting of a sandwich, drink, carrots or celery, and
a fresh fruit. Lunches can be picked up at the cafeteria dinning hall.
- All food is prepared without nuts
but we cannot guarantee nut-free.
- All meals will have vegetarian
options.
Miscellaneous:

Check out time is noon Saturday August 16th, 2008.
- GOC security will monitor the
floors 24/7.
- The residence telephone number is
(613) 727-7698. The GOC main number during the games is (613) 520-2600,
ext 4170.
- Linens and pillows are provided.
- Towels are provided.
- Laundry service is available at a
cost and arrangements can be made through the residence front desk.
- All rooms have telephones and
jacks for computer hook ups. The phones will not be able to make long
distance telephone calls - you can make arrangements with the residence
front desk.
- Rooms are NOT equipped with alarm
clock radios.
- All rooms have A/C.
Information For Coaches and Managers:
For team sports, only coaches and managers register
and check in for their respective teams.
Check
in locations are as follows:
Algonquin
College: Main entrance of the residence building.
- At check in, the first stop will
be with the Medical
Team to ensure all waivers are properly filled out and
submitted.
- You will then make your way to registration
where you will be given a box with an envelope for every athlete, coach,
and manager. In this envelope, you will find pertinent information
regarding the campus, schedules, meal vouchers, accreditation, room keys,
etc.
- Meeting rooms/lounges are located
throughout the residences and those with GOC schedules can be booked on a
first come/first served basis. Each
meeting must be limited to one hour.
