What is the “New NCCP”
A
training and certification program involving 65 different sports
Have
shifted the program towards a “competency/outcomes-based” approach
A
coach may choose to be just trained or in addition, complete a process of
evaluation in order to be designated as certified for a context.
Trained
When
a coach has completed a context workshop and other preliminary requirements
Certified
When
a coach has undergone a positive evaluation of core competencies assigned for
each context in addition to the workshop.

Introduction -Introductory course for coach looking to train
athletes building on the “Five Principles” and begin competing in games of 4, 5
and 6 aside hockey.

What if I am a new coach?

options:
1. Take
the Community Coach workshop
2. Take
the NCCP Level 2 Technical (valid only until end of 2006)
3. Take
the Competition stream
What if I am already certified in the old NCCP system?
What if I am already certified in the old NCCP Program at Level 1?
Options:
Attend
a NCCP Level 2 Technical course (based on recommendation from coach)
Attend
a NCCP Multi-sport Module A workshop (theory)
Or:
Wait
until the Competition-Intro context is launched (Spring 2007)
What if certified at Level 2 or 3?
