Field Hockey Canada is looking for Regional or Canadian certified umpires to officiate and Technical Officials at the 2008 U19 Men's & Women's Outdoor National Championships that will be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba July 17 - 20, 2008 and Vancouver, B.C. July 25-27, 2008. All interested candidates please fill out the Official Availability Form and Official Profile Form found in the appendix of the Officials News Bulletin. Umpires must be certified as a Provincial Umpire and be registered members in good standing with their provincial organisation (e.g. FHO) For those who are traveling and need accommodation, rooms will be provided at Algonquin College (the campus is up the street from the event venue). Umpires will dress in black skirts/pant/shorts. In advance of the OSG, all participating officials must: a) register with the OSG and b) provide a police check and submit the completed form for the OSG files. -for Ottawa residents, the fee for the police check is waved; however, officials obtaining a police check outside the City of Ottawa may be required to pay for it on their own. Travel expenses may or may not be covered by the OSG organisation. The season runs from May 8th to the middle of July.
